These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Verlume website (verlume.store) and your purchase of products from us. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

Who we are

This site is operated by Rashan Dissanayaka, trading as Verlume, an unregistered sole proprietorship based in Sri Lanka. For any questions, contact hello@verlume.store.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order on this site. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you can form a binding contract.

Acceptance of terms

By accessing this website or placing an order, you confirm that you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or purchase our products.

Orders, acceptance and cancellation

Your order is an offer to buy. All orders are subject to acceptance by us, and we may decline or cancel an order for any lawful reason — including product unavailability, errors in pricing or product information, or suspected fraudulent activity. If we cancel an order after payment, we will issue a full refund of the amount charged.

Pricing and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and may change at any time before an order is placed. Payments are processed by PayPal, our third-party payment processor; by paying, you agree to PayPal’s terms. We do not store your full payment-card details on our servers.

International orders, customs and duties

Orders are shipped internationally. Depending on your country, your order may be subject to import duties, taxes, or customs fees charged by your local authorities on delivery. These charges are your responsibility and are not included in the price you pay us or in our shipping charges. We have no control over these fees and cannot predict their amount.

Product descriptions and safety

We work to describe our products accurately, but we do not warrant that product descriptions, imagery, colours, or other content are complete, current, or error-free. Products are consumer beauty-technology devices and are not medical devices; nothing on this site is medical advice.

Our products use light therapy and/or microcurrent technology. Before use, please note:

• Do not use if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, or have epilepsy or a photosensitive condition, without first consulting a doctor.
• Do not use on broken, infected, or irritated skin.
• Discontinue use immediately if you experience irritation, discomfort, or an adverse reaction, and consult a doctor if symptoms persist.
• Follow the instructions included with your product. These devices are intended for cosmetic use only.

No warranty

Except as required by applicable law, our products and this website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights you have under Sri Lankan consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Verlume and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or products. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Verlume harmless from any claim, loss, or damage arising from your misuse of our products or your violation of these Terms.

Events outside our control

We will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations if the delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to customs delays, carrier disruptions, natural disasters, or supplier fulfillment issues.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka. Nothing in these Terms affects consumer rights that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page at the time of your order applies to that order.
